What is a Travel Insurance
I came to know about travel insurance when I became a travel agent few years ago. I didn't know that such kind of insurance exists apart from the usual we know like the life, property and health insurances.
What is a travel insurance anyway? A travel insurance is a meant to cover medical, property damage and loss, and financial default from travel suppliers during a travel either within your country or internationally. This can be issued on the time of your travel booking to ensure your safe and hassle free journey.
A travel insurance's normal coverage are the following:
- Emergency evacuation
- Medical emergency
- Return of a minor
- Trip interruptions like inability of travel supplier to provide for the services when already paid for prior to arrival or weather disturbance
- Visitor's health insurance
- Accident
- Death
- Disability
- Repatriation of remains
- Lost or damage to property

Travel or cruise companies charge a premium on the exact insurances you might get more cheaply yourself. Honestly, sometimes their policies tend to be somewhat painful.
