Cancelled Beijing Trip

I don't regret the decision to cancel the Beijing trip this September. The budget is very tight these days and I am saving my leave for next year, just in time for my daughter's collegiate studies.

I haven't heard of the bird's flu scare anymore for some time but I have made up my mind and would rather save my leave and money for more vacations next year. Anyway, I am looking forward to spend spring in beautiful Japan. It'll be the greatest graduation gift we can give our daughter.

Might Not Go To China

The recent news of the avian flu in China is something I cannot take lightly. We have a fully-paid package trip to Beijing, China this September but news of bird's flu around the cities of Shanghai, Beijing and Henan.

I don't want to take chances on that. I'd rather not go and it's okay if the whole trip is non-refundable. Our health and safety are my primary concern.
